Presentation of Constructions and Additions of the Late Period Kings in the Temples of Upper Egypt

The current study was undertaken to highlight the constructions and additionsof the late period kings in the temples of Upper Egypt. Additionally, the study shedlight on one of the most significant periods along the ancient Egyptian history.Furthermore The constructions of such period within the Upper Egyptiantemples are rare. Hence, there was a dire necessity for a study that could examinetheir few surviving remains.The study presented full explanation of the surviving constructions of the lateperiod kings as well as entailed the architectural and technical features of buildingsduring the late period as well as The illustrations of the scenes and inscriptions thatappeared on the late period constructions.The results of the study indicated that, the architecture of the late period isdistinguished by the development of the prominent new building types, including,the so called birth house, entrance porch, kiosk and the Gateways, over and above,one has to realize that the ground plan of the main temples developed and changedduring late period.
